Is the printed image becoming a faded memory?
In the days before digital photography, hard to believe I know, we used to shoot off our rolls of film and take them to the processors to be developed and printed. We had no idea of what they looked like until we collected them a few days later. Heads clipped off or even entire people missing. There was no way of knowing what you were going to get. Unlike digital, where you can see in the screen who is in or out. Unless you had a SLR (Single Lense Reflex camera) there was no way of knowing what you were going to get.
Our holiday pictures were also something that was not finite. Rolls came in 24, 36 or 48 exposures and they had to last a fortnight! These days we can shoot off that amount in a matter of minutes without a care. Our pictures can be uploaded to social media in a matter of minutes, but we tend to store them on our pc’s and not as many make it to print.
Digital photo frames have been around for quite a while, but the advent of more advanced smart and apple phone technology means that getting your images into the frames own memory is easier and pictures can be displayed in a continuous rolling manner at pre-set intervals. It’s a great way of using new technology for displaying your family images.
There are many homeware stores who still deal in picture frames from single black edges to more decorative multi framed shabby chic affairs, but the way we display our photographs as changed forever and the printed image is slowly fading with time.
For those of us who still like to display our photographs in frames, there are many ways to hang them and if you are looking for something of a highly decorative nature GalaxyXtra has some very unique hangers which can be found on https://www.galaxyxtra.com/plaques-signs/hangers/plaque-hangers.html
